Everybody knew her - she was Hawaii’s most popular entertainer in the 50’s and 60’s – a singer dancer who popularized the comic hula style as she sang, “Princess Pupule Has Plenty Papayas.” Don’t recall that one? Well, Hilo Hattie may have been before your time, but the shop remains, and carries on her uniquely Hawaiian brand – selling fashions, gifts, gourmet foods and souvenirs. With the largest selection of Hawaiian made products, the must-visit shopping experience includes a shell-lei greeting from their beautiful staff, free refreshments, and a Sarong demonstration for ladies interested in the multi-use asian garment… and oh yeah, the men here wear them too!
