The USS Midway is the longest-serving U.S. Navy aircraft carrier of the 20th century. It was active from the end of World War II through the liberation of Kuwait in 1991. Now decommissioned and located at Navy Pier in downtown San Diego, the USS Midway is used as an educational site where visitors can learn about its historic adventures. Recently added to the ship are two flight simulators, including the Strike Fighter 360.
